EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidenced based treatment used to treat trauma and some mental health symptoms. EMDR can also be used to treat present day symptoms such as anxiety, negative thinking, fight or flight response, living in survival mode, even if they are not rooted in awareness of a traumatic experience.

EMDR is unique because it incorporates bilateral stimulation like eye movements or butterfly tapping and less talking than some people are used to in therapy.

EMDR therapy has 8 phases, including a preparation phase to help you feel ready and capable of addressing the issue head on in later phases.

EMDR Intensives

EMDR intensives are longer, uninterrupted blocks of EMDR reprocessing that allow for deeper processing, faster resolution, and reduced length of time in treatment. Through EMDR intensives you can achieve healing so much faster than the traditional 1-hour session model.

I offer EMDR intensives in 3-hour blocks. These can be scheduled weekly, multiple times per week, or even back-to-back on consecutive days. We will work together to identify a schedule that works for you.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk therapy is exactly how it sounds - we walk and talk! Walking adds rhythmic movement, sunshine, and fresh air to your session, increasing the healing power of your work. You set the pace, we sit when needed, and we process. We can also incorporate EMDR into walk and talk therapy!

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to therapy that focuses on mind-body connection, nervous system regulation, and releasing emotion that has been stored in the body for healing. Somatic therapy can be done on its own or incorporated with other modalities like talk therapy and EMDR.

Family & Couple's Therapy

Every relationship has its ups and downs. In family and couple’s therapy, many modalities are used to improve communication, connection, and trust. We work together to learn, practice, and incorporate skills that leave you feeling heard and respected rather than hurt and resentful. Co-parenting support is also available through in these sessions.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a great way to meet other people who share similar struggles while learning new skills. Group topics vary and so does what you’ll get out of them. Some groups are meant to educate, some aim to provide skills, and some are for processing shared experiences. More information on group offerings to come!
